At one of my previous companies we recognized drivers who had achieved a million safe miles. No accidents or violations for a million miles. Imagine that! Not only was it a million miles but running regional and local freight around big cities like Atlanta. I drove for about six months and all I had to do was take a rig 60 miles around I-285 in Atlanta each morning and I was a nervous wreck. Maybe there is some luck involved with going a million miles but there had to be a lot of skill and effort to achieve that. Hats off to all you Safe Drivers out there!
